Afro-Ethnic Trends is an Etsy Five-Star rated fashion retailer based in Chelmsford, England. The company was established in September 2016 by two African fashion enthusiasts with a vision to bring 'Made In Africa' products to the global market and fashion community.
We believe that every creative mind deserves to have a platform to sell their goods, and we are creating an avenue to enable the forgotten artisans in the remote villages in Africa to make an income from their produce.
The jewellery, clothing, handbags, footwear and homeware items have been sourced from four African countries namely: South Africa, Kenya, Uganda, and Nigeria. Our mission is to empower traders within their local communities, thus ensuring that their handiwork gives them a sustainable income stream for themselves and their families.
We love the passion, depth of creativity and craftsmanship uniquely found with handmade accessories, and we only stock rare, beautiful and collectible jewellery, made with bold colours and patterns.
In June 2018, we extended our collection to include vintage and antique tribal jewellery from Afghanistan, Turkmenistan and India. We also have contemporary South-Asian Statement pieces which we've called the 'Asian Fusion Collection'. These are gorgeous statement jewellery which can be combined with African/ Ethnic clothing and accessories to create a bold and unique stylish look.
Afro-Ethnic Trends also runs a roaming market stall and we attend exhibitions, events, fashion shows, conferences, and seminars.
